To safeguard public health and the health of our volunteers

As we all know, we are in the midst of an unprecedented episode of uncertainty about Coronavirus and the situation is changing almost daily. In a measure to safeguard public health and the health of our volunteers, all our upcoming screening events have been cancelled for the time being. It is too early to say when, and if, we can reschedule, hopefully soon. This is vitally important, given the nature of the work our volunteers do in the health care sector. We know from the experts that preventing people interacting prevents infections, and therefore we are doing whatever we can to stop the spread of this deadly virus. The Lions Cancer Institute acknowledges the importance of skin cancer detection however we cannot, in good conscience, allow a situation to occur that may facilitate the spread of the coronavirus.
