Christmas Big Day Out
Christmas big day out was a fun time for all those involved.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the Australian Business Community the Lions Cancer Institute (WA) Inc. were able to provide another Big Day Out for disadvantaged children.
A free preview of the movie “Paddington”, plus free drinks, ice cream, lollies and a special visit from Santa with gifts for the boys and girls were all part of the day for these special children and their carers.
Thanks also go to the Board Members and Institute friends for the time they put in to make the day a success.
Easter Day Out
A Special Children’s Day Out at the movies where pre-release films are shown for the first time. The main group of people invited were disadvantage children, with their parents or carers. Easter Bunny was on hand to distribute Easter Eggs and everyone was given refreshments and show bags when they went into the movies. Thanks to everyone that made this possible and to the Board Members and Institute friends for the time they put in to make the day a success.
Batman Day Out
Batman, Flash and Dazzler all arrived with big fist pumps and lots of noise which the kids, and their carers responded to with even more noise. These “Super Heroes” where here his year to spend time with the kids, their families and the wonderful Carers, to celebrate the Big Day Out for disadvantaged children. The Lions Cancer Institute (WA) Inc. proudly offers this event each year and together with volunteers from the Institute, who assisted Batman, he shared gifts with every child who attended. Free ice creams and lollies were provided for their enjoyment as they settled into their seats to enjoy the free preview of the movie.
The coaches with their special cargo arrived with excited kids anticipating meeting Batman and smiling for the camera.
Thanks to the theatre staff who were most generous with their time and help on the day.
This annual event is proudly supported by the Australian business community and we express our most grateful thanks for their continuing support.
